Responsible for managing the expansion of Charter’s current public WiFi network, and potentially other wireless services. Applies expert knowledge of wireless technologies and market trends to define and deliver a roadmap for Charter’s out-of-home wireless products. Reports to the VP of Mobile Development, and works independently to lead a cross-functional team that will include direct reports that lead design, deployment coordination and meeting growth targets. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading product development efforts, financial management responsibility, a deep knowledge of wireless services with a vision for how Charter can leverage wireless infrastructure to extend products and services outside of the home.

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Owns the WiFi, and potentially wireless, network expansion from market expansion, network design, and budgeting across a variety of channels and deployment types. Responsible for understanding competitive products and industry trends ensuring the competitiveness of Charter’s out-of-home wireless products.

Leads the planning, design and supports deployment of the out-of-home wireless services in all Charter markets, ensuring the network continues to deliver strategic and financial value to Charter.

Applies a strong understanding of product development processes to lead the execution of all product development initiatives for out-of-home wireless products, holding the organization accountable to deliver the product roadmap and growth targets.

Manages capital and direct expense budget for related wireless development initiatives.

Works closely with Director Spectrum WiFi Product Management to leverage the wireless features and benefits.

Leads the WiFi and wireless efforts across key stakeholders and develops effective partnerships between the Product Management team and the other supporting functional organizations (Field Operations, Wireless Engineering, Software Development, IT, Operations, 3rd Party suppliers, etc.) to properly interpret and deliver the product requirements to the market.

Maintains a strong technical knowledge of wireless technologies and able to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Network Operations teams .

Ensures alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions.

Accountable to the customer experience of out-of-home wireless products, ensuring simplicity, quality, and operational excellence.

Supports business development and strategic partnerships for out-of-home wireless products, assessing potential partnerships, negotiating related deals, and managing resulting relationships, working closely with business development.

Maintains strong knowledge of the current performance of Charter’s out-of-home wireless products to help identify issues and recommend improvements in processes and/or product management.

Works closely with the in-home wireless product manager to ensure a seamless integration between out-of-home and in-home wireless products.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field
Master’s preferred
