As a key member of the US Value & Access team, the Director of Strategic Planning reports to the Vice President of Trade, Pricing and Contract Management (TPCM). This position provides critical support to the VP of TPCM by leading key business initiatives, coordinating and driving the delivery of goals and striving for excellence in strategy development, execution, organizational effectiveness, and process efficiency. Responsible for key TPCM activities and processes while responding effectively to changing priorities
Serve as a single point of contact for managing VP communications (presentations, all staff meetings, leadership updates)
Team Leadership: Provide operational leadership to supported meetings/teams and identify cross-functional implications, risks and issues. Elevate issues and work to overcome implementation obstacles
Ensure strategic alignment between US V&A, TPCM and business partners
Coordinate US Pricing Committee agenda and pre-meeting review timeline and deliverables
Budget owner for TPCM. Lead the development of the annual plan, LRP and forecasts. Responsible for tracking progress, forecast submissions and decision making on deviations to limit impact to the business
Responsible for working with Finance to inform the LE and LEDR process
Responsible for oversight of team vision, roles and work processes
Drive effective team operations, including goal setting, functional reviews, etc. and ensure that all goals and objectives are well understood
Cross-program, Cross-functional Communication: Provide timely, accurate communication between TPCM and functional elements within supported programs. Communicate appropriate information on team status & issues to stakeholders
Strategic Thinking: Act as a strategic partner to TPCM and business partners. Actively participate in supported program team meetings and represent the TPCM operational perspective
Coordinate with the VP TPCM to ensure the timely, high quality execution of TPCM priorities
Resource Planning: Provide information to assist with resource planning and elevate resource issues as needed. Identify and reconcile resource issues
Project Management Processes: Manage all aspects of projects/processes: planning, estimating, sequencing and scheduling, monitoring and controlling, risk management, execution, and closing
Maintain a master project plan and schedule for assigned projects. Translate plans into actionable and measurable tasks. Establish and achieve project standards for work quality and quantity
Lead Business Continuity and Crisis Management program for USBO, ensuring deliverables are complete and accurate
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing and/or sales operations experience
Master's degree and 7 years of marketing and/or sales operations experience
Bachelor's degree and 9 years of marketing and/or sales operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years working closely with marketing, compliance, healthcare company or related industry experience
Demonstrated self-starter, ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects in a detail oriented environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively produce business results in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to analyze a business problem and develop appropriate strategy
Strong business background and acumen. Demonstrated ability to learn and lead complex business processes
Proactive and exceptional ability to work independently and make decisions/exercise good judgment without close supervision
Documented track record of success
Proven ability to lead and influence cross functional teams with diverse backgrounds
Experience leading or being a member of a cross-functional project teams
Experience managing vendors, working with key internal or external partners, establishing, communicating and managing teams to timelines and project targets
Experience working with corporate finance, brand marketing teams, regulatory, legal, compliance, and vendor management
Experience critically evaluating process and establishing creative solutions
Advanced skills and familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint, SharePoint
Utilization of Project Management tools, methodologies, and practices
Strong project management skills, lead and manage projects from concept to completion in a matrix and, at times, ambiguous environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and effectively present information
Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative, goal oriented and results driven
Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills
Good skill in interfacing effectively with all levels, including senior management
