Current Need

 

As a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, your main responsibility will be to manage and successfully drive process improvement at RelayHealth Pharmacy Solutions.  As such, you will be responsible to coach, train and support the Six Sigma Blackbelt and Greenbelt team to significantly improve their ability to meet customer expectations, reduce costs, increase profits and help develop leaders.

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

Specific duties generally include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead and manage significant process improvement projects in the business.
  • Mentor and coach Blackbelts and Greenbelts.
  • Promote use of Six Sigma methodology and tools (DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, Workout).
  • Provide project support & process documentation.
  • Drive and support Blackbelts and Greenbelts in certification process.
  • Identify and support development strategies for Blackbelts and Greenbelts.

Support Six Sigma program:

  • Act as change agent to foster a customer centric quality culture throughout the organization and drive measurable business process improvements.
  • Identify, prepare, and drive project benefits creation and overall program impact.
  • Own, manage and drive project portfolio along with departmental champions.
  • Recognize strong supporters / leaders.
  • Promote collaboration and team building.
  • Drive synergies across RelayHealth and across McKesson Corporation.
  • Support customer engagements.
  • Pursue identification of new tools and technology to assist Lean Six Sigma team members in reaching success efficiently.

Support Six Sigma management team:

 

  • Engage with Six Sigma management team to establish and meet financial and customer service goals.
  • Assist Champions, business owners and process owners with the identification, scoping and financial justification of projects that align with the business strategic plan.
  • Manage the development of project charters and project funnels along with the Blackbelts & Champions.
  • Participate in Steering Committees as deemed needed (Six Sigma program, project specific, etc.).
  • Develop and provide necessary training to Six Sigma resources and other McKesson resources in the use of Six Sigma methodology and tools.
  • Contribute to the Six Sigma awareness across the organization through ambassadorship leadership, creation of Six Sigma stories / articles to share within internal communication mechanisms.
  • Plan, support and execute multiple tasks related to annual continuous improvement conferences.
  • Facilitate / Support other business initiatives as needed.

 

 


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
6+ years experience, at least five of which is in project management or process improvement full-time.

Critical Skills

  • Minimum 6 to 10 years experience in business process improvement;
  • Must have Master Black Belt; technical mastery of Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, Change Management,  Workout tools, problem solving / root cause analysis and process management tools is required
  • Strong statistical and data analysis skills are required
  • Strong leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills 

Additional Skills

 

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to understand the drivers and strategies of business success;  PMP certification a plus
  • Proven ability to motivate, influence, communicate and gain commitment at all levels of the organization;
  • Proven track record of financial results from the application of process improvement methodologies and effective change management; ability to train adult learners on these methodologies.
  • Financial acumen: Ability to complete cost benefits analysis and ROI, and help Blackbelts data mine and identify financial savings.
  • Ability to create and present effective complex business cases for review with senior leadership
  • Business acumen:  .  
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time;
  • Past expertise in health care services is an asset.
  • Technical skills:
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office and database management tools
    • Proficient in Minitab

Certification:

Master Black Belt

Six Sigma               

 

Education

 

4 year degree in related field or equivalent experience; graduate degree a plus.
