Job Description:
The Director, Channel and Markets for Distributed Energy Storage (DES) is responsible for indirectly drive sales and growth of the DES business by planning, developing and delivering best in class marketing programs for internal and external impact. This includes working cross-functionally with sales utilizing primary and secondary data to develop focused and highly targeted opportunities for business development teams. The role will develop and execute an internal and external strategic marketing plan for the DES launch to the SSNA channel. Finally, at a broader level, this role be responsible for developing DES strategy and supporting regulatory and government relations activities.

Typical Duties:
    Utilize primary and secondary data to develop focused, achievable, and highly targeted opportunities for business development teams and lead the development of tools and models for targeting Utilize customer data to drive a focused go-to-market strategy Analyze a cross-section of data from our buildings business to determine priority targeting for the DES business development team Provide direction and strategy on capture management of strategic multi-year, multi-delivery contracts and off-take agreements Develop a process to get "voice of customer feedback" from the teams that interact with customers and prospects and deliver feedback to DES product development, engineering, business development and field operations teams Develop a market intelligence capability for DES to benchmark technical performance, financial and user experience Develop and lead an internal and external strategic marketing plan for the DES launch to the SSNA channel and internal teams Develop a strategy and execute to develop leads and capture in tools such as Salesforce/Pardot Develop target messaging for vertical market segments and regional markets Collaborate with product, engineering, operations and business development on proposals Increase the visibility of DES through the development and execution of a marketing framework which includes marketing disciplines such as messaging, content, robust digital marketing, brand and advertising, internal/external communications and events Supervises: Project Managers, Engineers, Technicians, Consultants and Subcontractors


Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent with MBA preferred
• 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, and public relations at large organizations
• Strong preference for candidates with 5+ years in energy storage, generation, distribution etc
• Demonstrated creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills
• Experience developing and managing budgets
• Demonstrated successful experience in key marketing disciplines such as brand and advertising, digital marketing, communications, events, public relations, customer segmentation and data analytics
• Commitment to working with leadership and in cross-functional teams
• Solid communication / organizational skills and up to 25% global travel
