The primary purpose of this role is to help all Global Procurement (GP) colleagues to make better procurement decisions every day by providing credible and practical reporting solutions and metrics. The mission of the Decision Support team is to create competitive advantage for Pfizer through procurement intelligence capabilities that help GP colleagues manage performance and identify future improvement opportunities. The primary responsibility of the Director, Global Procurement Decision Support, is to provide quantitative analysis and decision support leadership to the GP organization. As a team leader within the GP Program and Portfolio Management department, this position is responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and managing the savings, spend and other SMARTStats programs, and supporting analytics and data visualization. This role is responsible for leading routine Procurement Decision Support activities such as spend analysis, savings tracking, and opportunity assessments. Examples of ad hoc analytical requirements are working capital analysis, business case development, and complex sourcing initiatives. Additionally, this role plays a key part in responding to reporting requests from the GP executive team & other key stakeholders. The individual in this role manages approximately 3-5 people and provides financial & analytical leadership to other members of GP. Use an understanding of cost savings definitions, processes, systems and data for problem solving & other ad hoc analysis Use an understanding of sourcing processes, systems and data for problem solving & other ad hoc analysis Use an understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2) processes, systems and data (including vendor master data management) for problem solving & other ad hoc analysis Use an understanding of working capital processes, systems and data for problem solving & other ad hoc analysis Use an understanding of the supplier diversity program for problem solving & other ad hoc analysis Manage spend analysis (including supplier diversity spend), savings tracking, and associated metrics and reports/dashboards/scorecards Lead Global Procurement's annual opportunity assessment for the next fiscal year's goal setting, providing processes, tools and templates for collecting and summarizing input for GP organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Assign projects and ongoing responsibilities to direct reports in order to balance workload and to provide cross-training and back-up coverage and developmental opportunities Complete or arrange for training for team members for respective analytics capabilities (Excel, Access, Tableau, Alteryx) or other procurement competencies Take a customer centric approach to understanding the adapting needs of Global Procurement teams to ensure that appropriate analytics solutions are developed in a timely manner Perform financial analysis such as NPV, ROI, TCO and Breakeven plus associated sensitivity evaluations Use Procurement & Finance systems and associated Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools as a regular part of the role for such things as opportunity analysis, issue resolution and performance monitoring Produce relevant & useful analytical support to help drive decision making & achieve group objectives Package & present results of analysis in clear & useful manner Use analysis results to develop recommendation to improve P2P processes, operational, and strategic sourcing activities Communicate recommendations, benefits & risks in a clear way Develop relationships to support day-to-day activities & facilitate consensus building for GP programs & processes Work with Sourcing colleagues to understand requirements to help improve the delivery of procurement processes & tools Research best practices, industry trends, etc., to help improve the delivery of procurement processes & decision support tools Execute on assigned projects & manage multiple priorities in parallel EEO & Employment Eligibility Pfizer is committed to equal opportunity in the terms and conditions of employment for all employees and job applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or gender expression, national origin, disability or veteran status.
