Key leadership role within the Information Solutions & Technology organization responsible for driving vision and execution of the Portfolio Management and Project Management organization.
As AIM's leader responsible for our Portfolio and Project Management organization, you will work in close partnership with stakeholders across the organization, enhance standards and methodology and drive financial discipline in the investment of our people, process and technology.
Balancing strategic imperatives with solid operational capabilities is critical. Areas of accountability include: portfolio management, project management, capacity management.
Responsible for leading and managing the activities for multiple, separate and discrete Information Technology areas/functions.
Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
Plans, directs, and controls the resources and efforts of teams and managers to accomplish organizational objectives.
Obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things accomplished.
Manages resources effectively and efficiently to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
Provides leadership in motivating subordinates to accomplish IT's goals and objectives.
Develops a strong team through training and effective organizational development practices.
Reports project status and progress to IT and external department senior management.
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas. Implements policies, practices, and procedures.
Has fiscal responsibility for IT budgets.
Establishes relationships with business users. Hires qualified staff for assigned areas or functions.
Oversees department or functional area within business unit, which may encompass multiple projects simultaneously.
Receives objectives from senior management and collaborates on the most appropriate process for accomplishing goals.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Requires BS/BA in Computer Science or related field; 8 years of information systems and management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
