Your responsibility will be: Define and build cross-industry IoT solutions leveraging Oracle Cloud technology - SaaS and PaaS. Drive solution definition and prioritization for each industry. Build Marketing assets. Build strategic partnerships. Enable sales and partners to scale business on a global basis.

We have a unique opportunity to position Oracle as a global leader in providing IoT Cloud Solutions for targeted industries - Manufacturing, Transportation, Retail, Automotive, High Tech, Oil & Gas, Communications Service Providers, Smart Cities, etc. - architected around Oracle Cloud technology and in partnership with strategic industry leaders.
Detailed Position Description
The IoT Industry Solution Director owns the definition of roadmap and requirements for key industry solutions anchored in IoT, including:
• IoT Cloud Solution design and execution
• Sales & marketing collaterals
• User experience definition and live demo (in partnership with engineering team)
• Sales enablement at scale
• Strategic partnerships with industrial players, SIs, specialized partners, etc.
• Oracle evangelist in industry events, associations, etc.
The successful candidate for the role of IoT Industry Solution Director will be able to demonstrate deep solution expertise and have:
• Previous experience managing complex solution definition
• Good technical background and understanding of Cloud SaaS/PaaS technologies
• Deep understanding of IoT, mobility or Big Data
• Deep understanding of enterprise master data
• Strong partner engagement experience
• Demonstrated cross LOB negotiation skills
Work Location: Bay Area, California - Oracle Headquarter
Travel Component: 10-30% travel, some international

Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.
