Job Title: Director, Marketing, Consumer Products
Reports To: CEO, Consumer Products
Location: Santa Monica, CA

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the Marketing and PR strategy across the enterprise-wide Consumer Products (CP) organization. The Director will work with Activision Blizzard's business units to understand their product strategy and existing marketing and brand PR activity in order to develop a CP marketing approach that is complementary to those efforts. Successful candidates will have experience in marketing strategies in both traditional and social media channels; as well as deep experience in consumer marketing/advertising and trade show planning/execution.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Oversee/execute all consumer marketing/advertising
  • Develop and execute all PR plans across CPG
  • Develop all franchise and CPG 'pitch' presentations, for both partners and retailers
  • Build digital/social marketing strategies and plans for key CPG initiatives, including esports league events and new category and partnership launches
  • Oversee all CPG trade show planning and execution, including budget and sourcing
  • Develop/maintain product catalogs
  • Work with key licensees to develop joint consumer-targeted marketing plans, as appropriate
  • Manage external parties including media outlets, press, vendors, retailers and development partners
  • Serve as a key member of the CP leadership team; help develop the future-state of consumer products for Activision Blizzard

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, PR or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10 years of consumer marketing experience, preferably in a large CP organization
  • Experience in brand Public Relations affairs; press releases and media management
  • Experience in developing marketing plans; with focus on digital/social media marketing
  • Excellent writing and editing skills are a required
  • Ability to work and thrive in a globally oriented environment
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross functional teams (such as
  • development, creative, marketing, legal, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment with various internal groups
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Passion for video games is a plus
