Spectrum Enterprise’s Marketing Team is currently seeking an experienced, strategic, digital savvy Director, Lead Gen Marketing– Enterprise & Verticals with a deep background in several key vertical industries with demonstrated success in delivering leads. This position must be based in either Charlotte, NC or Stamford, CT.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Director, Lead Gen Marketing - Enterprise & Verticals, reporting to the VP, Campaign Strategy and Execution, will be responsible for development and execution of marketing strategies, demand gen, lead generation, and account based marketing (ABM) campaigns, targeted at Fortune 1000 businesses and our four named verticals – Government, Education, Hospitality and Healthcare. Primary goal is to create targeted messaging, creative and programs to drive qualified leads for our sales teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals to develop enterprise and vertical lead gen marketing strategies and deliver programs to meet identified lead gen goals
  • Develop and implement strategy and calendar outlining key campaigns and programs to support lead generation goals. Provide ongoing updates on campaign strategies, components, implementation progress, and results to sales and marketing teams
  • Ongoing, independent understanding of each target segment’s (Fortune 1000, Government, Education, Hospitality and Healthcare) technology/communication needs, business drivers and pain points and how they translate to Spectrum Enterprise solutions. Development of insightful campaign strategy, messaging and creative based on buyer needs that drives engagement and lead generation
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across marketing, product and sales to develop and execute compelling inbound, outbound and ABM campaign strategies, segmentation, offers, and creative messaging to generate the required level of marketing qualified leads
  • Create targeted outbound list strategies leveraging multiple sources including various databases, data providers and sales intelligence utilizing a structured, scientific market segmentation approach that incorporates demographic and behavioral data
  • Develop sales enablement tools that align with campaigns and support conversion of leads to opportunities and sales. Close collaboration with sales teams to deliver consistent messaging to prospective buyers via late stage campaign messaging
  • Develop and optimize nurture strategies and programs that move buyers through the marketing funnel and convert into sales opportunities
  • Work with marketing operations team to establish required reporting and measure actual campaign results to goals in order to optimize and improve future campaign performance
  • Analyze and thoroughly understand campaign performance, by segment, by tactic, by market in order to optimize future campaign lead generation performance
  • Guide the development of the digital and traditional media plans to compliment lead gen campaign programs
  • Manage agency relationships and creative direction in order to execute creative campaign requirements in a timely fashion and in accordance with brand guidelines and messaging
  • Manage and track the marketing expense budget.Track and report on ongoing agency expenses to ensure alignment with budget goals
  • Maintain competitive pricing and quality output from all agencies through ongoing RFPs and price quotes from various agencies in the marketplace
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive marketing experience in developing and implementing targeted B2B demand and lead campaigns, preferably in the telecommunications and/or technology industry
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of key verticals (healthcare, education, government, hospitality) is preferred.
  • Prior enterprise sales experience a plus
  • Development and leadership of a marketing team with responsibility to support several sales segments
  • Ability to form strategic partnerships with cross functional stakeholders to collaborate, effectively align strategies, and communicate key goals, objectives and results
  • Proactive approach to uncover emerging needs of the business, determine how marketing strategies and programs can evolve to meet needs
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing innovative digital lead gen programs in marketing automation platforms that align with the buyer’s journey and focus on generating new business leads in support of achieving/exceeding sales growth and revenue goals
  • Relevant copy writing and creative samples
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong financial, analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to travel within the US to various meeting locations; Approximately 25-50% travel may be required
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or equivalent training, education and experience; MBA is a plus
