Director, Marketing Programs
The Director of Marketing directs all outbound marketing efforts for Spanning by Dell EMC. This includes messaging; the design, development and implementation demand generation programs; events; and analyst and press relations. In this position, you’ll lead a marketing team focused on creating content that supports the sales process and that utilizes marketing technology to lead prospects through their purchasing process. You will work closely with product marketing to turn product value into consumable market-based messaging and will meld with the sales team to integrate marketing programs with our sales process. The Director will plan, develop and implement multiple channel programs for the company’s industry-leading SaaS solutions for protecting data in cloud applications.
This is a high impact role and the ideal candidate will possess a record of success in SaaS, software or technology marketing with proven results from content-based demand generation programs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Lead the development and execution of new program deliverables to market.
+ Influence cross-functional teams and collaboration for optimum content and message development and consistency.
+ Responsible for overseeing program deliverables and insuring program deliverables are created timely and efficiently as well as brought to market effectively.
+ Monitor overall program deliverables status and go to market activities and measures efficacy of marketing programs with respect to sales pipeline generation and closed sales.
+ Work closely with higher levels of management and across functions to develop effective strategies and programs to meet functional and cross-functional goals.
+ Possess operational command of the business.
+ Direct the efforts of individual contributors as well as virtual teams.
+ Drive lead generation and deliver engaging content for every phase of the lead lifecycle through social media, advertising, SEO, and channel marketing.
+ Establish strong relationships with key industry analysts.
+ Create compelling campaigns for in collaboration with product management, sales and executive teams to define strategy, messaging and tactics.
+ 10+ years of marketing experience with demonstrated success in a SaaS or software environment
+ 7+ years of diversified leadership experience
+ 7+ years of strategic marketing experience in product marketing, positioning and messaging
+ Highly effective presentation skills to large audiences and potential customers
+ Experience in driving marketing programs and understands the integration between marketing and sales
+ Experience with metrics based marketing, lead generation/ nurturing and marketing programs management
+ Hands-on expertise in the tools and systems used in marketing operations and demand generation, marketing automation (we currently use Marketo)
+ Ability to lead, influence, motivate and direct a workgroup to achieve results
Education: Bachelors, Masters (Non -Technical)
