**Job Description:** The Consulting Director is responsible for successful execution of Dell EMC’s Enterprise Content Division engagements and management of client relationships from a services delivery perspective at multiple, assigned accounts within the Life Sciences / Pharma vertical. The Consulting Director works closely with ECD Sales Representatives to identify, qualify, and define opportunities for new services business at assigned accounts. In addition to account/customer related activities, the Director is assigned a number of consulting team leads within the assigned territory. The Director is responsible for performance management of these consultants and mentoring of the consultants including annual performance reviews. The Director of Consulting Life Science, will cover a book of business with an annualized run rate of $6-8M with 15+ consultants. The Director is member of the ECD Consulting Americas Leadership team. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Recruitment and hiring for assigned territory including interviewing and recommending potential candidates + Business development together with own team of Services Sales specialists and weekly review and forecast of assigned account revenue + Support/Drive escalations within support and product engineering + Participate in quarterly Dell EMC Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) on assigned accounts + Participate in quarterly territory staff demand planning SPECIFIC DUTIES: + Develop/maintain effective relationships with decision makers for services work at key services engagements within assigned geography to effectively position and close follow-on services + Develop and execute plans to meet with sales resources on a regular basis, understand and provide assistance in closing new business by providing local credibility around our capabilities vs. our competitors. + Effectively manage the service delivery for all active engagements in assigned geography to ensure that customers are so satisfied with our services that they want to engage us in follow-on work. + Put controls in place for managing project budgets at engagements within geography + Effective communication of status to key Dell EMC stakeholders + Identify current and future risks on projects effectively, develop and implement mitigation strategies prior to risks affecting project success QUALIFICATIONS: + Previous working experience in regulatory or clinical domains within a Life Science company is a strong plus + Fluency in Life Science industry processes and terminology in at least one specialization (e.g. clinical) and understanding of the industry value chain + Extensive working experience deploying Life Science content management solutions (5+ years) + Regulated Content Management experience required, experience with Documentum preferred + Prior consulting / customer facing experience, preferably with pre-sales experience + Understanding of validated system deployment + Leadership Skills + Program management skills + Strong communication skills + Preference for candidates living in the Northeast.
