A Director of Data Analytics job opportunity located in Elk Grove, CA is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technology. Your responsibilities will include organizing, analyzing, and then sharing insights gleaned from data. The Data Director will develop predictive systems and algorithms for identifying trends and driving business solutions. This candidate will utilize industry-leading standards for working with data to extract meaningful business information using statistics, machine learning, and experiential. This is a Direct Hire position and pays based on experience.

Director of Data Analytics job responsibilities include:

Design, develop, implement and validate predictive models using a wide variety of statistical and machine learning methods and algorithms.
Analyze data to identify useful relations, Trends and patterns in data
Provide automated and ad-hoc analysis of experiments
Explore existing data for insights and recommend additional sources of data for improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders, consolidate and validate business assumptions prior to initiating and undertaking analytical projects, and to articulate and document business and functional requirements to meet objectives.
Apply innovative, scientific/quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make 'insight to action' recommendations to answer the business objective and drive the appropriate change.
Clean data and making sure that is consistent, while melding multiple datasets together.
Generate batch and incremental models for real-time prediction, classification, outlier detection, and more.


Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, software engineering, data science, or computer science
Five to seven years' experience in quantitative analysis
Deep technical understanding of data mining, machine learning, statistical NLP, statistics, data science
Expert in several quantitative software tools (ex. R, Python, etc.)
Experience working with high dimensional data sets
Pragmatic, team-oriented, builds rapport and respect
Strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills; attention to detail
Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
Experience in large datasets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop) as required

Nice to have: Impala, Spark, Hive
Experience in Automotive Connected Car Domain a plus
