The Director of GME is a facility position that will work closely with the Division Director of GME, and hospital leadership to develop and implement new GME programs across the UCF/HCA consortium. North Florida Regional consortium program coordinators and GME personnel will report to the GME Director.
The person in this role must have a detailed understanding of ACGME requirements for all specialties and a working knowledge of resident assessment tools (e.g. New Innovations), ERAS, NRMP, board certification requirements, rules regarding International Medical Graduates, visas, licensure and ABMS testing. This position will require the ability to manage complex systems, integrate into diverse teams, and develop forward thinking solutions.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service and ability to self-direct and manage complex programs.
Experience Required or Preferred:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in GME, preferably in a management role.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business or another related field required.
