Reporting to the Head of Marketing Excellence and 1GMS Operations, the Director Marketing Excellence, Consumer Sector is a critical role within the organization, tasked with the responsibility of sourcing and implementing the next generation of Marketing Excellence Training Programs that will ensure J&J’s marketing capabilities stay at the cutting edge of the industry. As J&J embarks on a journey of pushing into a new way of marketing in today’s increasingly connected, real-time world, the incumbent will be part of the team ensuring that our marketers around the world have the knowledge, tools, and capabilities to live into this new way of marketing.
He or She will be a key interface with HR and talent teams in embedding our career experience framework and training to define core skill areas for development.
The Director of MX will also lead assessing our current skills through industry leading assessment tools and developing and updating recommendations It also involves developing training courses and programming against current and emerging skill areas and gaining organizational alignment to the new programs.
This person will also own the partnership with one or more regions around the world and/or segments in the development of their training and capability agenda; and building a collaborative relationship with those regions/segments. This will be executed through the MX champions team that acts as marketing excellence ambassadors from each key market or market cluster for regional execution of training programs as they launch MX programs and modules worldwide

This role will be a high visibility role to senior marketing leaders including the CMO, GFLT, GMS leadership team, regional leadership and the broad global marketing community. This serves as a great broadening assignment for 2 years for marketers with strong potential who can benefit from senior leadership visibility, global market and marketer experience as well a exposure to cutting edge marketing thinking and capabilities.
