My client, a leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Director of Operations/Site Manager (DOE). In this key role you will be responsible to manage overall manufacturing activity for the location through manufacturing engineering and numerical control analysis, tool and die fabrication, production operations, plant and facility maintenance and industrial security. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Plan and maintain oversight of operational goals for Methods Engineering, Tooling, Forging, Machining, Processing and Assembly, Maintenance and Security, operations to meet company objectives consistent with established manufacturing standards Provide solutions to production, scheduling, budgeting and material problems based upon technical and administrative judgment. Devise means to reduce process time and production costs, increase utilization of employees and equipment, and to increase or decrease space requirements as programs develop or terminate. Responsible for overall planning of work flow and organization of Manufacturing function and teams performing manufacturing activity. Delegate freedom to subordinates to accomplish assigned tasks and review their performance by evaluating Material Review Board activity and their ability to meet schedules. Be responsible for overall cost reductions and operational efficiency plans for manufacturing departments. You will bring the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Engineering, or Business required 7+ years of Operations Management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, Aerospace experience highly preferred.
