The forecasting director will lead the development and communication of forecasts for key oncology pipeline products, life cycle management of marketed products and business development opportunities.
Specifically this person will:
• Develop or direct the development of forecast models based on key assumptions and in collaboration and agreement with global marketing and product strategy teams
• Effectively lead collaboration and partnership with the brand leadership, BAI, access, epidemiology and other cross functional teams who input data and/or assumptions into the forecast
• Perform analyses and assessments that include market size, penetration, market dynamics and potential revenue for worldwide forecasts
• Synthesize and incorporate findings based on triangulation of multiple sources
• Ensure translation of key insights, patient journey and other critical information into product forecasts
• Ensure implementation, collaboration and communication of global forecasts to all key functions impacted by the forecast
• Present forecasts to product strategy teams, review boards and senior management
• Identify and communicate key risks and uncertainties of forecast
• Engage actively with global marketing leadership to ensure best forecasting practices are followed
• Translate and elevate forecast at senior levels and push back on thinking where appropriate given robust understanding of forecast drivers
• Develop forecasting team capabilities via training and mentor ship
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of sales & marketing operations experience
OR
Master's degree and 7 years of sales & marketing operations experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 9 years of sales & marketing operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (MS/MBA)
• 5+ years of pharma/biopharma forecasting experience with additional experience in market research, or business analytics experience
• 2+ years of consulting experience
• Oncology experience
• Experience with advanced spreadsheets, patient based forecast modeling including dynamic patient models
• Experience with quantitative techniques including smoothing, regression, time series analysis, and simulation
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
• Strong project management skills-able to organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time
• Demonstrated analytical skills combined with a client service orientation
• Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to develop and retain staff
• Good understanding of the latest developments in the biopharmaceutical industry, and unmet medical needs and opportunities in the assigned therapeutic area
• Broad, working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry databases
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically to support key business decisions
• Background and demonstrated understanding of global markets
