The Power Systems Automation group is a full-service automation systems integrator and Foreseer Electrical Power Monitoring Software developer with the capabilities to integrate the necessary equipment and technologies, to provide a complete, power automation solution. This team of engineers and technicians brings extensive skills and experiences with a variety of leading HMI software packages enabling us to design graphically rich, easy-to-use operator interfaces that take advantage of the latest standalone or web-based technologies. Our experience transcends a multitude of equipment manufacturers, software packages, and network architectures, including all major OEMs HMI, PLCs, and components. We offer single point responsibility, a high level of engineering and systems integration expertise, and a unified focus on cost effective solutions, seamless integration, HMI development, energy management tools, and professional turnkey system design and implementation. 
This role is accountable for the development and implementation of the product line’s strategic plan, including product development projects and marketing programs to obtain acceptable growth in incoming orders and sales, insuring continued growth and profitability of assigned services.  Plan, manage, and oversee the formulation of all short-term and long-term objectives and business plans for the delivery of EPMS service and software, including meeting sales, market share, price realization, profitability, and quality metrics; direct and oversee new product development and introduction of new products into the market; lead engineering and software functions; manage product line resources responsible for negotiations, customer order engineering, and sales support.  Regularly participate in and report out product line financials, including forecasting and performance to plan, as required by management.  Operating responsibility is global with direct operations integration with district operating centers in the US, as well as Canada, LAM, EMEA and  APAC.
Essential Functions:
  • Manages P&L for the product line, including planning, managing, and coordinating customer orders and backlog to achieve Profit Plan metrics Continuously maintains quality and timely service as demanded by the customers in coordination with power systems EPMS operations team
  • Leadership of product line team, including performance management, goal setting, and development planning for all team members. 
  • Lead sales team to establish and maintain acceptable customer service standards with respect to negotiation lead times, service lead times, design turnaround time and potential claims. Manage and oversee the preparation of effective quotations, bids, and related negotiation documentation for the sales of products produced by the company.
  • Leads marketing resources to conduct voice of the customer interviews and feeds customer desires into internal organization through customer visits, industry association participation, and competitive research. 
  • Set all Foreseer and Power Xpert Insight software solutions market level pricing to provide a competitive and profitable software value proposition including the bundling of comprehensive services and solutions.
  • Leads software development team for industry leading Foreseer EPMS software solution.
  • Maintains current knowledge of software integrator technologies, new designs, competitor capabilities and practices, market conditions, and market channels in order to develop short-term and long-term offerings and necessary development strategies.
  • Leads team to hyperscale resources and capabilities to meet needs of multinational major customers. Cultivate and deliver on major datacenter backlog and additional opportunities in EMEA and APAC. 
  • Develop forwarding looking profit plan and review monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the regions meet these numbers on a monthly basis.  Oversee procurement, efficient execution / ability to execute to sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, managing receivables (works with credit department, resolves terms & condition issues with the contracts department, work with collections), and turn of backlog and projects. 
  • Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments.  Assures strict compliance with safety policies and deploys safety programs.
  • Key interface with customers, sales force, manufacturing plants, product division management, and functional support staff. Interfaces and coordinates with plants, business units, and outside vendors to procure services for the assigned regions.
  • Integrates commercially and operationally with and is accountable for PSA PL sales and profitability to District Operating Centers in the United States; in addition to global regional operations in Asia Pacific; Europe, Middle East and Africa; as well as Canada and Latin America.
  • Develop and deploy product/process improvement initiatives.

Position Criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and understanding of a fiscal entity.
  • Knowledge of power distribution, HMI and power monitoring software programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and equally well with senior corporate executives, mid-level managers, and engineers/technicians.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
  • Prior experience as a manager of people
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead a dynamic team of sales and marketing professionals
  • Broad understanding of marketing and business planning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong strategy development and deployment skills
  • Practical understanding of accounting principles and P&L
  • Practical understanding of demand flow production concepts
  • Broad understanding of market channel relationships and processes
  • Basic understanding of product applications and customer needs

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or business management from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in a service or engineering unit interacting with the direct customer and employees on a technical basis. 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters in electrical engineering/computer science
  • PE license (or equivalent)
  • Field sales management experience
  • Specific Power Distribution experience (commercial or technical capacity)
  • Experience working in an international business environment
  • Engineering and operations management experience leading a large organization, experience with managing new product/software development processes 
  • Product Line Management experience including pricing, procurement.
