The Oracle NoSQL Database product line is an enterprise-grade, highly scalable, distributed NoSQL database. The Oracle NoSQL Database and related technologies are used by some of the leading technology innovators,
including, LinkedIn, Yammer and Cox Communications. The Oracle NoSQL Database team maintains, enhances, and extends these products in service of its commercial customers and the Open Source community.
The Oracle NoSQL Database Development, QA, Documentation and Product Management team is comprised of a worldwide group of seasoned engineers, working in a distributed environment. We value engineering excellence,
independent thought, effective communication, good self-management and consensus building.
An ideal candidate should have experience with product management related activities, including management experience, working with a diverse, distributed engineering team in a large company. Experience with open source products and the open source community is also desired.
The primary goal of the Product Management team is to drive product adoption. It is a broader scope than a "Product Evangelist" for example, and it is not a Marketing or a Project Management job. Our primary focus is to a) keep the
product visible and relevant, b) enable and help the various sales channels -- this includes several Oracle Sales teams as well as Oracle Partners, c) provide product direction and input into engineering, d) manage the Oracle release process infrastructure.

responders. Typically we do not control the actual implementation or execution of anything other than our own tasks.
The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team of product managers in order to increase adoption and use of our products as well as set product direction and work effectively with other related groups inside as well as outside Oracle (e.g. Partners).
We're looking for people who can operate well in that environment and be enthusiastic, focused and positive contributors to the group and the products. Most importantly, we are looking for people who can comprehend a rapidly evolving technical marketplace, develop a strategy to make the product successful and together with a world-class team, execute that strategy.
