Position Description

Director Product Management - DataSafe

The Director Product Management translates the product strategy into a roadmap. You will coordinate market research and collection of technology watch data and provide technical guidance for future investment needs, as well as release priorities in the development of the product roadmap. You will investigate client issues and act as a liaison with Development and Account Management on the resolution of technical issues impacting clients. This position also provides technical expertise in new deals and renewals.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategic vision and tactical product roadmaps for one of Credit Union Solutions core account processing platforms.
  • Creates product and business requirements based on market analysis, business strategy and customer needs in the aligned marketplace.
  • Identifies opportunities; develops business plans, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, financial and transaction based forecasts
  • Works closely with Design, Product Delivery and Development to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly in detailed design specifications and in the construction of the product assigned. Consults with Product Marketing to develop launch plans, define marketing requirements and ensure key product collateral exists; i.e.: product guides, sales presentations, demo scripts, flash demos, feature comparisons, etc.
  • Validates and prioritizes requirements including defining benefits and impacts of releases across the organization and for clients and sets and achieves subscriber, transactions, quality, revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Performs other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, and/or related field preferred, will accept 6-10+ years of progressive responsibility within the Product Management environment in lieu of education.

Job-Related Experience:

  • Product expertise with Account Processing Cores
  • Profession with deep experience within or serving banks or credit unions
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a Product Management role. Preference for prior experience managing the product life cycle for software products.
  • Experience with platform products and platform strategy is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in creating release roadmaps that support product strategies

The successful Director, Product Management will:

  • Be knowledgeable, experienced, and proficient in Product Management standards and practices (Agile, Scrum, Pragmatic Marketing) with particular appreciation for the end-to-end Product management discipline.

Travel:

  • Domestic travel required up to 10-20% of the time
