Role Overview

Our Medical Devices Sector is undergoing a significant transformation delivering a streamlined portfolio and infrastructure to reinvest resources in accelerating innovation.  The Program Management Office plays a critical role supporting our organization to deliver all transformation projects and creating value for the Enterprise. Our vision is to enable best-in-class Portfolio & Program Management fully aligned with Business Strategy and focusing on standing up standardized processes, capabilities and enabling technology. 


The Program Management Process & Technology Lead is an expert in program and project management methodologies, techniques and technology. The role owns and drives the design and implementation of a streamlined process across the MD transformation portfolio as well as development and sharing of best-practices.  It leads the requirements scoping and implementation of a next generation standardized technology suite for end-to-end program and project management, insights generation and portfolio performance tracking. The role also acts as an integrator between core team roles (e.g. HR, Finance, Metrics & Analytics) to further enhance and enable automation of critical processes such as resource management, financial KPIs reporting, impact tracking and change controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and continuously improve existing program/project management processes as well as all Transformation Office capabilities through Lean Process Design.
  • Lead the transition to a next generation program and project management platform for One MD and own the Technology capability of the Program Management Office.
  • Continuously draw data and generate insights from the program management platform to influence critical business conversations, support strategy development, fuel and automate standardized Metrics and Reporting generation
  • Work with internal partners and  consultants to develop Portfolio and Program management tooling to enhance decision making and facilitate best practice adherence 


The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of Portfolio Management principles and demonstrates the ability to apply them to deliver strategic objectives, manage budgets and resource planning, drive prioritization and business planning.  He/She will have solid technology grounding and extensive experience with portfolio/project management system implementation and hands-on usage. Furthermore, he/she will demonstrate advanced program/project management capabilities, lean process design thinking and exceptional data and analytics skills.

Application Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree - required; Advanced degree - preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant Process and Technology experience with proven track record in leading large scale project management technology implementation programs - required
  • Project & Process Excellence: Lean/Six Sigma qualification and ability to set business, technical and/or organizational direction, alignment, coordination and focus - required
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide solutions in a time sensitive environment - required
  • Excellent follow-through and organizational skills -  required
  • Insight driven; gathers insights and is able to translate into meaningful strategies  - required
  • Previous experience supporting integrations or transformation processes – preferred
  • Proven track record leading large-scale project management systems roll-out - required
  • Proficiency in Project Management, Data and Analytics software as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint - required
  • Ability to toggle between big picture and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
