The Director Projects/Programs will direct a team of Project Managers responsible for the implementation of domestic and/or global projects. Obtains the required resources to support approved projects. Ensures the scope and budget for all projects supports the business objectives. Provide guidance on processes and procedures. Ensure the team has access to required training. Update the senior leadership team on the progress of all critical projects. Define and manage the team’s performance objectives. Develops and implements project\program level guidance.

 

  • Obtain the required resources to support approved projects. Ensure the scope and budget for all projects supports the business objectives
  • Full responsibility for the entire portfolio, inclusive of multiple programs and related projects
  • Provides general oversight on ITG projects for assigned business customer including monitoring project timelines and financial expenditures from a program perspective
  • Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project’s scope, timing and budget as needed based on the needs of the business
  • Partners with senior leadership of the business and IT communities to prioritize projects to achieve the goals of the Enterprise
  • Provides regular, ongoing feedback into the development of the core Project Management processes, guidelines/standards and best practices
  • Responsible for team metrics (resource allocation, training, etc.) and escalations
  • Full people management responsibilities, including hiring, discipline, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • 10+ years of work experience within IT required with 8+ years of experience managing projects and 5 years of management experience.
  • Prefer: PMP Certified
