Current Need
We are recruiting for a Director – BASIS Delivery to join our team in Alpharetta, Carrollton or San Francisco office. 

 

Position Description

 

The Director of BASIS Delivery is responsible for implementation, management, administration and leadership of various SAP Systems projects. This position also is responsible for data volume management and the establishment of Archiving As A Service.

 This role manages a team of onsite, onshore and offshore BASIS admins and provides leadership to the entire BASIS team that covers implementations, upgrades, patches, hardware sizing and landscape design on various combinations of OS &DB platforms including SAP HANA. They will also influence, formulates and implements data volume management strategies with an objective to keep our SAP environments lean, thin and optimal. Tactically, this position has ownership of  day-to-day activities as they relate to the delivery of projects, monitoring and management of data growth reduction within in the SAP landscape. 

 

The core scope of technical landscape includes ECC, SCM, CRM, BW and BI related technologies including HANA.  Besides these there are several SAP systems that need upgrades and patches.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
6+ years specific systems experience including 5+ years managerial experience

 

Critical Skills

  • Leadership skills with very strong customer focus, positive attitude and results oriented
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

  • Solid analytical skills, experience solving practical issues and engaging cross functional teams of multiple process partners to gain consensus
  • Ability to work and collaborate with multiple teams and business units in a complex organization to achieve results
  • At least 6 years of SAP experience in SAP BASIS  implementations involving ECC, SCM, CRM, BW and Hana
  • Strong background in delivery methodologies and experience in leading large SAP projects and teams
  • Strong understanding of SAP ECC Data Volume Management (DVM) concepts that include Data and Document Archiving, System Maintenance/Housekeeping activities, Custom Archive Objects, Solution Manager DVM template monitoring and configuration, FI Open Item Management,  DART, and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
  • Experience in Archiving related technical knowledge, implementation providing conceptual and detailed technical design to meet business needs 

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with TDMS and SAP BASIS for time sliced refreshes and extracting master data and  configurations 
  • Thorough knowledge of the specific systems area related to the management position.

Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
