Job Description:

eBay is uniquely positioned to create and distribute great shoppable, sharable and relevant content to very targeted audiences down to the individual level. As the Director of Display and Social Lifecycle Marketing, the successful candidate will have to formulate and execute the strategy for Acquiring new, retaining existing and re-engaging lapsed users across multiple digital and social platforms. The Lifecycle Marketing strategy must be fueled by a world class Marketing technology platform that delivers automation and scale and by a very thorough testing and analytics frameworks that will allow for learning, optimization and ultimately driving profitable growth.

The position requires someone who is highly customer focused, has a strong technical background, is data driven, asks great questions and isn’t afraid to make decisions in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment. Ultimately, the successful candidate will be judged by his/her ability to build a world-class team, that uses disruptive technology and processes that turn Lifecycle Marketing into a source of profitable customer growth.

Key Deliverables:

  • Build Micro-target & business Vertical based Acquisition, retention & churn prevention Strategy. Focus on global scale and automation.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Data scientists to build the Display and Social platform and develop bidding, audience and product recommendation algorithms that works across channels and countries.
  • Obsessive focus on machine learning creative optimization including but not limited to dynamic video creation.

Job Requirements:

  • You have managed large Multi-million Paid IM budgets preferably display & social for a global corporation ideally within the retail, e-commerce or online industries.
  • You have worked closely with technology stakeholders or have help a PM role in the past that gives you intimate knowledge agile processes and product development.
  • Your analytical skills are exceptional; you can define and drive very detailed and complex experimentation projects while maintaining a high level strategic perspective to link short-term objective and long term vision.
  • You have driven expansive, rigorous test and learn programs across social or digital channels.
  • You are passionate about moving fast, learning more and adapting quickly to new insights about customers and the channels they engage in.
  • You must have demonstrated the ability to build a successful team, develop people and work well across a matrix. This is a big job and it will take a lot of help to be successful.
  • You have proficient communications skills and are able to engage successfully with Senior Leadership.

Your natural allies are the product and analytics organizations, you work with them as one more member of their team, you bring insights about the users and the channel and partner with them to define spec and build roadmap that will take operations, infrastructure and optimization levers to the next level.
