What You'll Do
As the Director of Strategic Communications for the Americas, you will focus on partnering with our top Americas Sales Leadership Team tell the story of Cisco's strategy internally & externally. You will manage a team that works directly with our senior executives and collaborate across Global Corporate Communications and Americas Marketing to develop the executive platform and thought leadership stories. You will manage the strategic communications plan to nurture and grow press, influencer, and employee perception for Cisco's strategy story. You will provide direct counsel to the leadership team on communications strategies to accelerate outcomes through compelling stories.
  • Create a much stronger connection for our influencers, press and employees to the Cisco's value through a clear outcomes-based communications strategy.
  • Build a meaningful connection for the Leadership team with press, influencers and our employees by developing innovative and creative experiences that uniquely amplify our message.
  • Work collaboratively across Americas Marketing and Communications to discover, develop and amplify compelling stories through the executive and leadership voices.
Who You'll Work With
The Americas Communications Team (CN, US & Latin America) is responsible for creating, aligning and amplifying Cisco's core narratives and executive stories to deliver externally to influencers & press, as well as, internally to our employees.

Who You Are
You are a senior level communications leader who thrives on taking the complex and making it meaningful, understandable, compelling, and personal. You enjoy taking a rich, complex message and boiling it down to its essence.

You have 10+ years of professional experience that includes a blend of external and internal Communications and Marketing.

You have experience advising/working directly with senior executives, are a strong collaborator, and have the ability to partner within the Americas & globally across a mix of constituents and organizations. You have the imagination and skills to activate our leaders to discover and share important and inspiring stories.

You have demonstrated success in developing, refining and spreading a message and building relationships with key press and influencers. You will have the accountability for the overall America's narrative and ensure all spokespersons are trained, align to and amplify the core messages.

High level of emotional intelligent, executive presence and influencing skills. Strong evidence of working with thought leaders and effectively enlisting and engaging leading thinkers to propel a platform forward. Outcomes and data focused. Ability to leverage data to navigate varying opinions and gain support for the most compelling approach and narrative.
