This position oversees the implementations of our emerging Enterprise Data Management Strategies from a technical perspective.    By providing technical oversight to the emerging strategy and partnering across GTO will help influence a mature and sustainable “ecosystem” for our data management capability across the Enterprise.    A special focus on consumption of data, specifically analytics will also be a key responsibility for this role.





  • Oversees the technical aspects for our overall data management strategy inclusive of all consumption aspects including analytics.
  • Responsible for influencing and supporting our continued maturity of data management capabilities through leveraging innovation and industry leading practices.
  • Provides technical thought leadership and support/insights to senior leadership and the broader data management team. 
  • Provides support and interaction with our consumers, specifically our partners in the data and analytical sciences.
  • Responsible for building vendor relationships as well as key partnerships with architecture and other key GTO partners in this effort.
  • Provides thought leadership for innovation and leveraging technology in the data management space and how to apply to each region.



  • Broad knowledge of data and how to apply strategy to our business and supporting applications
  • Broad understanding of technology and practices supporting emerging data technologies
  • Strong record of delivering technology solutions. 
  • Demonstrated experience with innovation.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and ability to apply to leverage and innovate for the supported business areas
  • Effective relationship, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to lead through influence




  • BS in Computer Sciences
  • 2-5 years with experience with Data Discipline
  • 10-15% Travel



  • Knowledge of MetLife Systems
  • Analytics experience
