The Director, US Marketing,
Endocutters will be the functional lead for the business platform, and represent
the US Marketing Team. The Director will oversee the development and execution
of all US Marketing strategies, business plans, and aspects of commercial
execution including customer & market insights, branding, market
segmentation, product positioning, KOL engagement, channel strategies,
forecasting and pricing for the full portfolio of products. This role will work
in close conjunction with the US Senior Manager, Core EndoMechanical, who manages
the other portion of the total EndoMechanical portfolio which includes
Mechanical, Trocars, and Other EndoInstruments, as well as the US Director,
Torax Integration Commercial Lead.
Endocutters is a
priority platform for Ethicon, representing a sizeable portion of the total
Ethicon portfolio, with expectations for continued and accelerated growth in
the future, and will require strong relationships with global, local, and
functional senior management.
- Responsible for the creation, alignment, execution
and oversight of strategies that will maximize profitability and share of this
large, important portfolio.
- Responsibilities include portfolio
segmentation, positioning, and lifecycle strategies to prepare for new product
- Keep current on competitive activities, and
provide materials and responses required.
- Creating and executing business plans through
marketing strategies, goals, and tactics.
- Being able to understand the needs of both the
clinical and economic stakeholder to translating customer insights into new
value creation is critical to success.
- Challenging status quo, creative strategic
thinking, and influence management are key competencies for the role, as new
ways to drive growth are evaluated such as new contracting solutions, promotional
vehicles, L&A, etc.
- Collaboration with Global Strategic Marketing
on platform plans, lifecycle strategies, product launches, new claims
- Development and implementation of
comprehensive marketing communication programs.
- Partnering with cross functional business
partners to maximize effectiveness of the Endocutter/EndoMechanical marketing
plans and tactics. This will include Field Sales and Field Sales Leadership, Specialty
Marketing, Global Business Insights, the Strategic Customer Group, Commercial
Operations, Global Education Solutions, & all support functions (IT,

within specified budgets and timeframes.
- Lead a team of three with two direct reports, responsible
