Position Summary:Disaster Recovery The Enterprise Disaster Recovery Program Director is responsible for the strategy, governance and daily operations for CVS Health's Disaster Recovery Program. In this high profile role, you will lead business continuity strategy and operations for the Technology Operations and Innovation department.
You will direct the enterprise development of advanced arrangements and procedures to ensure the organization can respond to a disaster so that the critical business functions can be resumed within a defined time frame, Recovery Time objective (RTO) and the amount of loss can be minimized, Recovery Point Objective (RPO). You will also be responsible for directing the design, development, maintenance and exercising (testing) of the overall disaster recovery plans for each critical functional area of the organization.
It is significant for these disaster recovery plans to address two major elements of the recovery process:
-The Emergency Response organization and procedures for reacting to and coordinating recovery efforts.
-The Recovery Support procedures for restoring key organization resources. Incumbent participates in any actual disaster recovery effort. Required Qualifications:-Minimum of 12 years overall experience in information technology
-Minimum of 3 years leading a Tier 1 & 2 groups Experience with Disaster Recovery Program for a large organization (500+ D/R plans)
-Working with Executive / Senior Management and Business Continuity teams
-Validated knowledge and understanding of current disaster recovery planning strategies, techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses.
-Knowledge of information technology in order to participate in the prep and roll out of recovery procedures in this area. ∙ Working knowledge of data and voice telecommunications.
-Contract management experience in looking after Disaster Recovery service providers.
-Project management skills. Preferred Qualifications:-Strong human relations skills to collaborate with management and staff at all levels within
-Ability to plan, organize and direct the testing of emergency response and recovery support the organization and to look after vendors of record, storage, facilities and disaster recovery services.
-Strong oral and written interpersonal skills.
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) through DRI International or BCI Certification through BCI Institute Education:-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Advanced degree or any technical certification
