This geography will span the I-95 corridor from the Baltimore Maryland area, down to Savannah, GA (including all of South and North Carolina as well as Eastern Virginia) Preference will be given to candidates who reside in close proximity to a major airport within those boundaries.

The District Manager (DM) will:

  • Manage a team of field based Hematologic Malignancies Sales Specialists who will plan and execute territory business plans for breakthrough products in Hematologic Malignancies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to leverage business and clinical expertise to strategically plan and guide team direction to deliver sales results within an assigned budget.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and create a high-performing, motivated and engaged team while fostering individual talent and managing performance.
  • Demonstrate ability to connect with internal and external customers and find ways to shape our business to help the appropriate patients.
  • Work in the field with minimal supervision, adapt quickly to changing environment and demonstrate understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory and promotional guidelines.
  • Report to the Region Business Director, East.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • A minimum of two (2) years of successful management and/or supervisory experience or completion of a J&J Management Development Program is required. 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of documented successful pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech, or medical device sales experience in a competitive environment is also required. 
  • Experience in Oncology, Hematologic Maliginancy, hospital and/or large account sales, and managing through complex reimbursement issues are strongly preferred.    
  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty (50) United States and willingness to travel as needed or required, up to 60%; which may include overnight/weekend travel are required.
  • Ability to satisfy reasonable credentialing requirements, including, but not limited to TB tests, Hepatitis B vaccine, MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and Varicella (chicken pox) is required.
  • Candidates are required to submit to annual background checks by Janssen Biotech, Inc.
