Vice President - Nursing Education
Position Summary: Ensure efficient and effective operations of delivery of quality educational programs to new cohorts of nurses and current staff to drive improved clinical performance throughout the division.

Develop division level education framework that aligns with enterprise strategy for clinical education
Collaborate with DCNE and hospitals CNOs to develop strategic relationships with targeted nursing programs.
Provide feedback to corporate shared service on division-based clinical learning needs (e.g., specialized simulation equipment, materials, etc.)
Shape corporate strategy by systematically identifying performance and knowledge gaps and recommending appropriate interventions
Delivery and operations
Manage or deliver clinical onboarding at market/division based learning centers
Oversee HCA RN Residency program delivery within the division
Manage or deliver on-going clinical education programs at market/division based learning centers and facilities.
Manage or deliver Continuing Education services
Oversee and manage a simulation learning program that aligns with HCA corporate standards
Train facility level educators to deliver consistent training across the programs (e.g., residency, continuing education, etc.)
Oversee nursing clinical placement contracts for the division to assure strategic alignment, compliance and efficiency
Manage or deliver nursing student onboarding programs within the division to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
Track effectiveness of facility level educators and plan/implement additional trainings/interventions where necessary
Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses, workshops, or other developmental interventions designed to address training needs of individuals or groups of employees.
Develop and manage evidence-based competency evaluation program that aligns with HCA corporate strategy and processes
Advance use of educational technologies (computer-based, distance, simulation, etc. ) to maximize learning impact and minimize cost
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree Nursing
Master's degree Nursing
Doctorate's degree Nursing, education, or a related field
10 years of experience in Nursing
5 years of experience in clinical education, preferably in a hospital setting
Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation.
Certified Nurse Educator
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:
Knowledge of current trends in nursing professional development
Knowledge of issues related to changing roles and skills in the current health care environment
Ability to utilize evidence-based methods and learning theories in the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical education programs
The ability to use word processing software to draft correspondence and proof, edit, or format documents
The ability to use spreadsheet software to enter, evaluate, and modify data
