General Statement of Duties: The position is responsible for implementing and maintaining a service line structure that aligns with the health systems mission and goals of improved quality, service and growth. In coordination with Senior Leadership and key physician advisors, this position will direct the short and long term planning of the surgery service line. In partnership with hospital leaders and physicians, this position will ensure operational efficiency throughout the continuum of care of the surgical patient. The position will have functional management of marketing and data analytics as it relates to the surgery service line
Education :
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

  • 5 years progressive acute care management experience.

The position functions at an executive level in an active leadership role with the health system's senior leadership, medical staff leadership, and hospital management teams.

Preferred :
  • Degree emphasis in Healthcare.
  • Experience in refined managerial skills as a COO or through the COO Development Program.
  • Current knowledge of Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines, regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, physician relations, and interpersonal skills. Advanced skills in financial management.
