Description: Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to maximize the customer experience by maintaining a safe and positive work environment for the Boat Tours staff and guests. This person will ensure the highest level of customer service, safety and quality and consistency while at all times driving sales and controlling costs. This person must also maintain the Boat TOur fleet to a high level of quality.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintains an amicable and appropriate attitude towards guests and employees at all times
  • Effectively communicates with office staff and crews to coordinate safe and effiecient boarding
  • Maintains clean and safe work area on the dock, on the boats and in storage areas
  • Maintains stock of boat supplies and notifies Manager of out of stock items and maintenance needs
  • Abides by and upholds all be the difference guest service standards
  • Works with Maintenance Department to ensure all maintenance on vessels is on task
  • Performs opening and closing side work as needed
  • Performs job duties in a safe manner and follows company safety policies and procedures
  • Train deckhands to perform job tasks in an efficient, organized and safe manner
  • Assign Captains and Crew down time duties
  • Notify Boat Tours Manager of any schedule discrepencies
  • Supervise staff on/off docks tasks and breaks
  • Safely operates company vehicles when in use
  • Other duties as asssigned

Status and Scope:
This position reports to the Boat Tours Manager and must be able to work with diverse workforce and apply all policies and procedures to employees and guests.

Equipment Used:
Radio, Fax/Copier, Computer, Golf Cart, Tram

Travel Requirements:
Little or No Travel (>10%)

Lifting Requirements:
MEDIUM - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Physical Requirements: BENDING FREQUENT

Qualifications: Qualifications:
  • Must have boating experience
  • Must have 2 years customer service experience
  • Preferred 1 - 2 years Supervisory
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must have a valid and current US drivers license
  • Must pass a motor vehicle record history check (MVR)

Recommended Qualifications:
  • 100 Ton USCG Master credential
  • TWIC Card
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
