Drone Application Developer Intern Job Description
Intel designs and builds sophisticated drones and drone applications. We are constantly developing new technologies to improve the way drones navigate, communicate, and analyze their environment. As a drone application developer in the Intel Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) team, you will work in a small interdisciplinary team to develop, integrate, and test UAV Traffic Management capabilities in line with standards established in the U.S. by NASA the FAA.
You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.Qualifications
The candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
The candidate must be able meet the requirements to apply for FAA Part 107 Certification ( https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/fly_for_work_business/becoming_a_pilot/ )
Minimum 1 year experience in:
- Java Script programming
- Linux scripting
- Familiarity with Ubunto, Yocto and/or Docker
- Drone piloting skills manual flight: e.g. flying multi-copters.
- Ability to work effectively with abstract requirements.
- Robotics, Avionics, aeronautical/astronautical Engineering.
- Control systems.
