Summary:  The DM creates defect management burn ups for executive consumption and monitors the development towards testing exit time-lines, supporting release launch windows.  Owns the coordination of defect management across all application and testing teams.
  • Manage and orchestrate SIT/UAT defect reviews, closure, and retesting across all end to end IT and Business teams.
  • Follow-up with defects owners to drive resolution within the SLA windows
  • Facilitate defect vs. Change Request (CR) determination and align resolution with respective processes
  • Run analytics and on defect volumes, severity, status and aging by track
  • Run analytics on defect root cause categories by track
  • Align defect fixes to release windows
  • Recommend defect management process improvements
  • Work with Release Coordinators and Interlock leads for prioritization of defect reduction
  • Host working session calls for interlock defects across Dev, Test, and Business as required
  • Sponsor defect strategies and articulate SIT/UAT burn down trends leading to exit dates
  • Generate daily defect reports and defect, test strategy summaries
  • Host daily stand up calls for Dev and Test (including Business where appropriate)
  • Ability to identify and concisely articulate time-line inputs, risks to test exit, and adaptability with changing environment and end to end leadership priorities.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills for different audiences (tactical to executive levels).
  • Drives timely collaboration among various groups
  • Identifies defect management resolutions with creative solutions to stay on schedule
  • TFS expertise required
  • End to end high level technology and business requirements preferred.
  • Adaptable to test and production environment variations.
