Position Overview:
The Eaton Internship Program – Engineering & Technology is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12-week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.  Students will develop skills through structured training, coaching and networking events. Assignments are driven by real business objectives, focus on growth technologies and allow participants to have a high level of contact with Eaton’s key innovation and technology leaders. The summer internship culminates with a formal presentation where students showcase their success stories to senior leaders of the organization and receive feedback on their performance.

After completion of the internship, and upon graduation, your experience and newly acquired skills could lead you to a variety of career paths, such as the Eaton Leadership Development Program- Engineering & Technology. This full-time program could include assignments in design and development engineering with long term opportunities in design engineering, product engineering and program management, as well as engineering leadership roles.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a graduation date of May/June 2016 or earlier
  • Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Management from an accredited institution and/or enrolled or accepted into a Master’s of Engineering or Engineering Management program from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, on a permanent basis without Company sponsorship
  • Geographical flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Internship Program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineering Degree with a focus on aeronautical/aerospace, computer, cyber security, electrical, electronics, engineering management, mechanical, mechatronics, power electronics, software, or systems from an accredited institution

*Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed.
