Responsible for the performance of diagnostic ultrasound exams, diagnostic cardiology procedures, peripheral vascular studies (imaging Included) and associated clerical duties.
Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures including M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow, and Transesophageal Modalities, independently within six months (if new to NFRMC)
in all settings, outpatient, inpatient, portable-bedside (floor, ICU, ED and other portable sites).
Proficient in the use of Agitated Saline studies, and Contrast agents
Eligible to perform Stress Echocardiograms, dobutamine or treadmill, pediatric Echocardiograms.
Begin learning 3D imaging and assist with OR TEE's, Ablations, and PFO Closures
Performs appropriate modalities, calculations and measurements to enhance and quantify cardiac abnormalities.
Perform arterial examinations of the upper and lower extremities.
QC's study and prepares for Physician interpretation with all pertinent information entered including assigning the study to the appropriate physician group for interpretation.
Complete study in Meditech to assure charges are processed daily
Perform expected volume studies by the end of the day )minimum of 6 studies/day on a consistent basis)
Understands staffing assignments and participates in various job rotations.
Performs other related functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)
Completion of an accredited Echocardiography Program or minimum of 2 years experience in the field of Echocardiography

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)
0 - 2 years experience , pass Registry within 1 year of employment

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: (list required and preferred separately)
BLS-required, ACLS - preferred
