This person will be responsible for development using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator. This will require strong knowledge of Sterling B2B Integrator 5.x or above development, Sterling File Gateway and Perimeter Server software.
Our client is consolidating from multiple EDI and ERP solutions to one solutions each for the global enterprise. They have chosen Sterling B2B Integrator as their EDI solution and MS Dynamix AX as their ERP solution. They had Vsinc, Gentran, Sterling Managed Services, and Data masons. What they have done is implemented Sterling b2b for enterprise EDI. Manages all EDI and File transfer. They had 3 different file transfers as well, ftp, global scape, and some home grown stuff. This one tool manages any file transfer and translation and they have been in the process of migrating from the multiple EDI solutions into the one , they have gotten rid of gentran, are in the process of getting rid of vsinc and data masons. Within about the next 8-12 months they will be getting rid of sterling managed services. Presently on version 5.24 b2b, upgrading to 5.26. They need a developer, not an analyst. Specifically Sterling B2B. There are currently 4 and 1/2 people on the team. As they move away from managed services this person also need to take on the support and the development the service provider was providing. They will adjust team responsibilities depending on this persons strengths with the tool. They will be replacing the EDI solutions that exist from the legacy ERPs and support the migration to the new ERPs.
Day to day they will be doing map development, bus process, some administrative duties.
