Role Summary:

EEDP is an intensive program for people who have a passion for technology, a drive for technical excellence, and share in GE's core values. The program is designed to accelerate participants' professional development through intense technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. Edison graduates have the technical and business foundation to proactively and continually make innovative contributions to GE's future.

Essential Responsibilities:

Additionally :

+ Edison Engineers at Current, powered by GE have the opportunity to work on innovative LED Systems to provide energy efficient solutions to our customers across all product lines

+ EEDPs learn how GE approaches the design of products using Fastworks and Lean Six Sigma methodology and learn to work closely with employees in Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales and Marketing to integrate product designs with manufacturing processes and ensure that GE's products / services meet customer needs

+ The core engineering skills gained in assignments are enhanced through advanced courses in engineering

+ Corporate courses are also provided

+ Experience and training combined with mentoring and guidance from assignment managers, prepares members with the technical skills and values needed to achieve a successful career in technology

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in the majors stated above (Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales and Marketing) from an ABET accredited university

+ GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 / 4.0 overall

+ Prior intern or co-op in design engineering or manufacturing (or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Desired Characteristics:

+ Masters degree in the majors stated above (Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales and Marketing) from an ABET accredited university

+ Preference will be given to persons that have prior intern, co-op, or research experience

+ Students with engineering majors other than those listed may be considered if they have GE Lighting Technology EID experience

+ Strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion for engineering is preferred

+ Students that have demonstrated leadership skills, community involvement, and a passion for technology

+ Demonstrated an analytic approach to problem solving is preferred

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms

+ Strong team skills with demonstrated leadership skills

+ Knowledge of advanced mathematics, including but not exclusively limited to calculus and differential equations
