I. Position Summary: This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor, performs EEGs in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the intensive care units.

I. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Eligible to take ABRET EEG board exam, Part I
B. Education: High school graduate and graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training. Some college level work is preferable.
C. Experience: 1 year minimum experience as an EEG Tech (may include time spent in training)
D. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
II. Degree of supervision required: Minimal - individual proceeds on his/her own initiative in compliance with policies, procedures, and practices prescribed by immediate supervisor.
