The Electrical Technician is a member of the Electrical Department and is responsible for the harness installation. Technician work teams are responsible for keeping production flowing, for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. This is a �safety sensitive� position; therefore, the employee must adhere to all OSHA and Standard Operating Procedures that have been put into place.


  • Install harnesses in the vehicle per specifications to include:

  • Power Harness

  • Control Harness

  • Sure Deploy� Harness

  • Install any remaining OEM/VMI electrical components such as the Sure Deploy� electrical box

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete required tasks including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, torches

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and maintain all equipment according to established guidelines and quality standards

  • Cross train in other areas of department as needed

  • Maintains regular attendance and excellent punctuality

  • Read, learn, understand and interpret work instructions, written or verbal, to complete labor intensive tasks to the materials according to established guidelines and quality standards

  • All other duties assigned


  • Electrical Technicians will conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all state and federal regulations (such as 6S, Lean Manufacturing, OSHA, etc.). Bring problems to the attention of the Lead, Operations Director, Safety Director or HR Director.

  • Ensures all workplace safety standards and practices are upheld

  • Electrical Technicians must adhere to PPE requirements at all times


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts. The employee is also exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Job Requirements �Intermediate automotive electrical, mechanical and/or alignment experience required; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
    �Automotive or Electrical Trade School a plus
    �Previous experience installing alarm and/or audio systems in vehicles a plus
    �Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends based on business needs
    �Must possess ability to work and cope well under pressure in fast paced environment and within production cycle times
    �Must be quality and detail-oriented, and have great organizational skills
    �Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible to change
    �Honest, ethical and handles things in a professional manner
