The Brea site builds and delivers helicopter rescue hoists and winch systems to aircraft operators around the world. The electrical & Test engineering team designs new systems, proposes design changes to existing platforms and also supports the MRO and Operations team with in service issues.
This management position is responsible for the electrical and test engineering activities related to the hoist and winch product family. This product team has responsibility for the design and development electrical components, and for test equipment (new design as well as production). This group is composed of electrical engineers, test engineers, as well as lab technicians. This manager is also responsible for monitoring and controlling department expense, maintenance, utilization, and strategic planning in the De-icing, Rescue, and Specialty Systems (DRSS) engineering segment, specifically focused on electrical engineering, testing, test equipment design, and support of test applications for production and maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
This role will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and will be based in Brea, CA.
Selects, leads , directs, evaluates and develops a team of professional electrical and test engineers to ensure that engineering operations are completed on time within budget, and as per the set goals. The successful candidate will collaborate with discipline chief engineers and lead the design and development activities related to Rescue Hoist system. Experience designing electrical Motors, power systems, EMI, Micro controllers is a plus.
Qualification: BS degree in Electrical, Aerospace or other Engineering discipline.
Education: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Experience leading team in a matrixed organization required
