An Electrical Maintenance Technician position in Greensboro, NC is available through Modis Engineering. This is a direct hire, first shift, salaried position. In order to qualify for the Electrical Maintenance Technician candidates must possess strong electrical and PLC capabilities and knowledge, and at least five years of solid experience in a similar role as described below.
Electrical Maintenance Technician duties include but are not limited to:
Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment
Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, drivers, relays, switches, and sensors - replace, repair, and adjust as needed
Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electronic instrumentation circuits, PLC's, VFD and Servo controlled systems
Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss possible solutions with team members and OEM's
Design and perform preventative maintenance to optimize operation or equipment and systems
Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance
Demonstrate necessary flexibility in responding to unscheduled or emergency needs of operations, systems, and facilities
In order to qualify for the Electrical Maintenance Technician candidates must possess:
Robotics experience is required
Fanuc controller experience is required
Experience working with up to 480v
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose motor and drive failures
Extensive experience troubleshooting and programming PLC's (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
Experience with VFD's and Servo control systems
Solid knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive assemblies.
Experience in an ISO certified environment
Experience with wood manufacturing equipment is preferred
