The Eaton manufacturing plant in Lincoln, Illinois has an immediate opening for an electronics technician, to work on second shift.
The electronics technician will plan, layout, install and maintain, program and trouble shoot electrical and electronic controls and equipment including PLC and motion control devices and will perform mechanical tasks with the above situations.
The technician must be able to work from complicated drawings, specifications or wiring diagrams and have a hands-on of electricity and electronics. The incumbent must also be able to work without drawing when necessary for project work.
The technician must keep current with new developments in their field.
The technician will be required to direct the work of helpers, instruct plant emergency team members and operate a power truck. The incumbent will adhere to all facility safety guidelines and encourage communication and participation of personnel to further identify and reduce/eliminate potential hazards. All work must be performed in accordance with National Electrical Code requirements.
The technician will adhere to and support all facility environmental guidelines and procedures, and will help identify additional projects to improve environmental footprint, and reduce waste and raw material consumption.Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum 5 years of electronics experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must have 5 years of PLC programming experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
-No relocation provided. Candidate must reside within the 50 miles of the work location.
- An AA degree in Electronics from an accredited institution or 10 years of electronics experience
-Hands on robotics experience
