Position Summary:
Assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab. Specializes in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement and EP devices and ablations.

Essential Functions:
  • EP tech role is responsible for the education to staff, outcome measurements, recordings, and documentation for the hemodynamic data on electrophysiology/ablation procedures following established policies and procedures.
  • Scrubs with physician and circulates on all cath lab procedures, including prepping, sterile procedures and interventional technology, within scope of practice and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Implements daily and weekly QA and maintenance procedures on all specified cardiac cath equipment according to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Biology Anatomy & Physiology, or related field, or allied healthcare professional (R-CIS)

License/Certification:
BLS & ACLS

Experience:
Two (2) years' experience as R-CIS
