An Embedded C/C++ Programmer job in Columbus, IN is available courtesy of Modis. For the Embedded C/C++ Programmer a Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred with three (3) to five (5) plus years of experience in object-oriented programming. The successful candidate for this position will be comfortable supporting software products through the complete life cycle, including generation of requirements, prototyping, testing, release, and field support. This position will be responsible for effectively designing, managing, and implementing software for OEM equipment.
The Embedded C/C++ Programmer job responsibilities include:
Develop the design, development, testing and release of telemetry offerings and electric components for material handling equipment
Manage and contribute to the software design review process to ensure quality and fulfillment of requirements
Understand system requirements fully and develop software that meet or exceed the requirements
Create and update technical documentation, test plans, and test results
Maintain engineering drawings and change instructions
Analyze test data and provide conclusive reports
Create test software using Labview or object-orientated languages as needed for automated design verification testing
Work on a team to complete projects with high quality while maintaining schedules
Three to Five years of experience in object-oriented programming required (C/C++)
Experience with Full Life Cycle Development
Experience with CANBus, including J1939 and others is preferred
Experience with network engineering, including Internet Protocols and various wireless technologies desired
Backend development experience using SQL servers desired
Understanding of IC and electric forklift products. Possess the technical ability to read, evaluate, understand and communicate data from prints and technical standard documents.
Requires BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with experience in Programming, or related field of study.
