Lone Peak Hospital is a 30-bed hospital on the Lone Peak Medical Campus. Built to better meet healthcare needs of people in Draper and other South Valley communities. Riding a substantial population jump of 70% over the last 20 years, the suburban community and its residents are ready for the inpatient services of a hospital, especially for obstetric care and surgery services.
Under the general direction of the Emergency Department Director and under the direct supervision of an RN and /or physician; assists in providing patient care appropriate for all age groups seen in the ED, including infant, toddler, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Responsible for continuous monitoring of the telemetry functions of the department while on shift, making reports at selected intervals of time, assuring that names and other data are entered accurately, and demonstrating ability to recognize problem dysrhythmias and reporting to appropriate nurses and/or physician/s. Also responsible for clerical duties in the clinical area including telephone communications, computer systems, record sorting, filing and distribution. Responds to call lights, patient needs, and observes camera monitors.
• Current Advance EMT (AEMT) Certification
• Minimum of 2 years experience
• Current BLS preferred. Must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain certifications.
• Current ACLS preferred.
• Current PALS preferred.
• Basic EKG within 6 months of hire
• Medical terminology.
