Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Employee/Labor Relations Manager are to:

Organize US Policy Review Committee

  • Drive policy review, approval and storage;
  • Proactively engage policy stakeholders and process owners and policy modification;
  • Engage policy stakeholders and process owners in preparation for USPRC meetings and policy modifications;
  • Lead policy governance;


  • Drive level 2 investigations for the US and Puerto Rico;
  • Investigate and respond to employee relations concerns reported to compliance or integrity line, HR interface or business rep.;
  • Provide recommendations, guidance and resolution to all levels of management regarding employee relations matters;
  • Coach managers on best practices, HR policy and processes to ensure fair and consistent application;
  • Prepare written investigation reports;
  • Act as an employee relations expert in support of employee counseling and coaching, compliant and grievance reviews, unlawful discrimination charges, reviewing and/or recommending corrective/disciplinary action, EEOC charges, reduction activity, exit interview analysis, ADA/reasonable accommodations and unemployment hearings;
  • Document all findings and recommend corrective action and/or appropriate resolution in accordance with federal, state, and local laws;
  • Serve as a resource for both management, client facing HR and employee population and maintain standards of professionalism in handling sensitive information, reports and correspondence;
  • Coordinate the planning, developing, training and implementing new and revised employee relations programs, policies, procedures, and best practices;
  • Oversee HR analytics on employee relations activities: compile/analyze/report data and findings; identify trends and recommend corrective action;
  • Lead the development, review and documentation of procedures to enhance and streamline processes and ensure compliance with related regulatory requirements;
  • Work with the HR team to educate managers and staff;
  • Keep apprised of federal, state, local employment laws and regulations;
  • Analyze employee relations trends, provide report and offer suggestions for resolving potential issues;
  • Provide guidance on employment policies, procedures and best practices, including the tools needed to manage any performance, discipline, and grievance issues;

Labor Relations

  • Develop, deliver and identify best practices and track union grievances, arbitrations, negotiation agreements and settlements nationwide;
  • Assist HRBPs in the preparation of negotiations, throughout negotiations, act as second chair, cost out proposals and be the liaison to the ER/LR Committee in HR Shared services;
  • Facilitate positive employee relations training and planning at sites as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.A./ B.S. in Business Management, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a business environment and or providing analytical support to Human Resources;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a priority in SharePoint, Excel and Access;
  • Project management skills managing small to mid-scale projects, and participating in large scale projects;
  • Effective with change management and leadership development;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR Processes, programs, policies, and systems and the ability to communicate effectively to employees and management;
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills;
  • The position will have between 20-25% travel based on the volume / type / location of investigations and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Human Resource Management/MBA;
  • Background in Labor Relations.
