POSITION SUMMARY
Endoscopy Technicians are accountable to and perform duties under the direct, on-site supervision of an RN when providing delegated patient care. In its support role to the RN, the Endoscopy Technician is responsible for patient care tasks as assigned, which contribute to the health, safety and comfort needs of patients. Performs various environmental duties for the unit as well as duties of a nursing assistant as necessary. Performs technical and paraprofessional functions as skills, assist the physician and/or RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, responds to emergency situation as directed by an RN.Qualifications: POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nurse Aide or Registered Medical Assistant
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
- One-year experience in medical or hospital work.
- Current certification as BLS Healthcare Provider
- Certification as Endoscopy Technician through SGNA
