The position is responsible for business development, commercial support, and implementation of strategic business initiatives. The individual will engage directly/indirectly with customers and the National Sales Force to sell Energy automation, protection, and control solutions. The initiatives are centered around the Energy/Power Automation portfolio. Extensive experience in protection, control, and SCADA systems for Low Voltage, Medium Voltage and High Voltage substation automation. In depth understanding of markets, customer buying behaviors, project engagement, along with an understanding of electrical distribution applications is required. The individual shall possess advanced knowledge for automation products in commercial, industrial, and OEM applications. The individual must be a strategic thinker, able to project manage multiple initiatives, work in a team environment, influence others, and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:
· Drive growth initiatives in Energy Automation in coordination with the National Sales Force, Data Centers, and OEM’s.
· Provide consultation and strategic direction inclusive of:
o Sales support and guidance specific to large projects and automation opportunities
o Guidance and design assistance on protection and control schemes – inclusive of MV/MV distribution equipment
o Providing guidance to sales areas where growth is possible and probable
o Internal training as needed
o Identify new product launches/Introduction opportunities and advise team members the need to execute
o Ability to engage other team members supporting large projects and EcoStruxure objectives
· Establish solid relationships with internal and external audiences to drive Energy Automation growth and profitability
· Able to adapt presentation skills to meet specific audience needs (Internal and External)
· Co- Develop target account plans with sales to drive automation sales and prescription preference with end users, contractors, consultants and OEM’s


Qualifications:
• Protection and Controls expert inclusive of SCADA/automation
o Substation Automation
o Feeder Automation
o Grid Controls
• Able to influence others
• Strategic, yet tactical
• Excellent presentation skills
• Travel 25%-30%
• Minimum 10-15 years Business Development and Automation Experience
