The Motor Winder performs miscellaneous operations involving dismantling, rewinding, repairing, reassembling, testing, etc. on large or more complex AC and DC equipment such as motors, generators, turbine generator stator and fields, rotary converters.
As the Motor Winder, you will:
+ Disassemble large commutators and collector rings assembly's for repair
+ Be responsible for on-site rewinding
+ Dismantles, assembles, diagnostics and troubleshoots all types of rotating equipment
+ Comply with all GE EHS and Quality requirements
+ Direct others
+ High School Diploma / GED
+ Minimum of 10 years of winding experience
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
+ Ability and willingness to travel and complete overnight stays
+ Ability and willingness to work nights, as required
+ Ability and willingness to travel internationally to outside job sites
+ Ability and willingness to work at Nuclear sites
+ Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) & Med-Tec cards required
+ Experience winding field coils
+ Strong Mechanical skills
+ Self-starter able to work with minimal direction
+ Willingly accepts job challenges
+ Experience with Health and Safety programs
