Design Software Engineer Analyst

Johnson Controls is hiring a Design Software Engineer in Lansdale PA.

As part of Design Software Solutions group of the Innovation and New Ventures team, the Group Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining algorithms and methods in existing applications, developing new features, serving as a leading subject matter expert (SME) for development teams, coordinating efforts for outsourced or partially outsourced projects, formalizing practical problems for programming, supervising software quality assurance and content management activities.

The Group Analyst determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and proposed solutions, developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas.

Job Responsibility:

Participate and lead the development of innovative tools and applications for the fire protection and suppression industries.
The successful candidate will work with Manager of Design Software Solutions developing new applications and maintaining existing ones.
This key role will involve coordinating efforts with other teams and departments, contractors, and business partners. Continual advancement of knowledge and skills related to engineering in fire protection is expected.
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years related experience or a minimum of 15 years related experience.

Technical Skills
Extended knowledge of fire suppression industry, Analyzing Information, Design, Software Testing, Documentation, Problem Solving, Teamwork, Development Process, and Application Requirements.
Experience in Analysis
